Hi, Ana! Long time no see. :) I so wish you were coming to London this December. Would be great to meet you finally. I presume you're saving up for the big 2012 concert at the end of the year with choir and orchestra?

I hope your Dad's house is not taking up as much time as it was and that things are good for you.

By the way, do you still have the taxi number and name of the local taxi you took from Newport Pagnell to The Stables? I will be getting off at the new coachway in Milton Keynes. Don't know if they have public telephones there with telephone books, and I must book a taxi from there to our hotel, then from the hotel to the Stables and back again. Just wondered if you kept that information.

All the best to you, Ana. Glad to hear from you. :)

Hey babe. I don't have information on the taxi situation because the hotel set my ride up for me,(to the show) but if your hotel does that for you, almost all the cabbies I have ever used have business cards that you can use to call them after (I can't remember if you were going to rent a phone over there or not.) Either way, the Stables bar can call one for you, but I missed the first one (for good reason) and had trouble finding someone to make another call for me after that. Maybe you can set up something in advance?

I would totally cut my left leg off to go with you. As much as I loved the hell out of meeting up with fans, especial hanging out with mr. Jimbo, traveling with people longer, especially fans would have been awesome. I am scrapping together my pennies to go next year though, if everything goes okay with the house. (Things are really crappy ATM)

I took a bus from Milton Keynes Coachway to my hotel, it was rather cheap and convientient (there was a transfer, but that was easy thanks to an old bus driver's advice) most of the drivers were really helpful. I'll check and see if I can find bus schedule info for that area next time I'm on line. Where are you staying again?

Got to go, talk with you later!

Hi, Ana, I'm staying at a 15th century coach house that has been converted to a hotel. It's in Newport Pagnell and it's called "The Swan Revived." Yes, I will have a cell phone on me if everything goes well, but after December 11, all Milton Keynes coaches stop at a brand new coachway. I'll be arriving on December 17. Don't know if there will be telephone books attached to public telephones, you know? So, I'm not really sure how to get from the coachway to the hotel. After that, it should be easy. I just thought you MIGHT still have the taxi info on you still. It's a long shot, I know.

Btw, Phantom, if you're reading this, would you be able to look up a local taxi company and post the name and number to this list? It would be ever so helpful. Also, I will be renting a London cell phone. Will it work the same for local phone numbers in Buckinghamshire or is there a special access number I must dial first?

I have almost all the details planned for my trip. It's just little "glitches" like these that can mess things up. I'm so excited about the trip, and especially meeting Steve. But, oh, my God, WHAT SHALL I SAY TO HIM? I just know I'll go all tongue tied. :/

Ana, all the best to you. To you, too, Phantom. :)

Yeah, sorry about that. At every coach station (are you using national coaches?) there is a booth with a nice (usually) lady (usually) selling coach tickets and full of (usually) useful imformation about local stuff like the local bus. I'd imagine that they'd still have a bus from there to City Center and from City Center to Newport Pagnell. Closer to the date when you (if you haven't already) get the location of that coach station, I can help you further maybe?

I over prepared with print outs of local maps and addresses and what have you, but found as long as I was good an early I wasn't running into problems.

I'm so excited about your trip and can't wait to hear everything about it afterwards. I was all tongue tied and silly myself, just enjoy the time you get and cherish its awesomeness while it's happening. BE IN THE MOMENT.

So much love.

hi cheri,
jimbo here (rebelfreak1). glad to hear all your travel plans are falling in to place.
the new milton keynes coach station has got public telephones but alas they will not have directories attached to them. if you call any of the following numbers from any public call box and ask for local taxi numbers they will give you three or four options to try..... dial either of the following :118118,118000, or 118247 and they will help. actually when you arrive there you will probably see cabs dropping people off,or picking people up,as ana said, they all have business cards with them or failing that will radio through to base for you and ask them to send another cab for you. in fact disregard the above.........
looked up these for you ....
eezy cabs 01908 218218
skyline cabs 01908 222111
mk city cabs 01908 766111
all the above cover milton keynes and newport pagnell.
eezy cabs will be your best bet as they are based close to newport pagnell itself.
another tip when you order a cab from any of the above ask for a price for your journey,as some cab drivers on hearing your accent may try to rip you off!!
I] am still hoping to get to the london show and to meet you, failing that the stables is also a possibility, any other travel advice or info you need feel free to e-mail me This email address is being protected from spambots. best regards Jimbo.xx

Ana and "Jumbo" ;) THANK YOU so much for all of the information. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.

One more tiny thing: does anyone know where to get a taxi from Heathrow Airport? I will be arriving at Terminal 3. Just one more glitch. Are there attendants standing around to help people like me with these kinds of questions, or perhaps signs near the baggage pick-up or customs?

"Jumbo", would love to meet you at the Indigo O2 or the Stables, if you go. Ffcforever, his wife, my friend and I are planning to have dinner before the show. Once we decide where we are going to eat, perhaps we could meet you there. Stella MIGHT be able to have dinner, see the show, then go directly home, at least that's what we're hoping for. I have been holding a ticket for her since mid-August. So, it would be great if we could all have dinner together, see the show, have a Christmas drink or two afterwards, and then go back to the hotel. Ffcforever has been an angel, offering to pick my friend and I up at the hotel and escort us to the venue and back again since Stella can't be away from home that long.

Many, many thanks for ALL of your great help. You guys are the greatest. :)
