Ray Davies latest Album "Americana". IMO his best solo album by far. I've seen two reviews that mention that one track (Poetry) sounds like Steve Harley. There is something there, apart from the obvious "sha la la"'s but I can't put my finger on it. Must just be his vocal phrasings.

Various versions of "Similau," as prompted by a commercial airing in the States for a Galaxy smartphone. Favourite is Bobby Darren's upbeat version. Second favourite by Desi Arnaz. The commercial features Peggy Lee's version, which doesn't make as much sense with the lyrics having been somewhat changed.All are available for listening on YouTube, along with others, including instrumental versions.
