Another potential idea came to me this morning.

Two Christmas's ago, my mother-in-law bought me the 'David Bowie Hunky Dory Collector's Edition 2025 Official Calendar'.

My interest in Bowie's work is, almost exclusively, the glam trilogy plus 'The Man Who Sold The World', plus 'Space Oddity' (or 1969 to 1973 inclusive).

Hunky Dory was released in December 1971 but didn't peak until 1973, at No.3 in the UK chart.

Steve's family might consider doing a similar thing with 'The Best Years Of Our Lives', which, after all, made No.4 in the UK chart. This might be subject to how all encompassing the deal was with Chrysalis - whether it went beyond the recordings per se?

(Assuming I'm still alive - and the probability is that I will be), I'd buy such a product for 2027 or 2028, if one was available.

If many (or all) of the 5000 plus members here, plus some who remember the 1975 pop world with fondness - and see it - do the same, it might work out?

All the best...

P.S. Maybe, if it's still active, a project for Comeuppance Ltd.?

Further thoughts: I suppose it would hinge upon:

a) How much each unit (calendar) would cost to produce - and distribute - compared with a potential gross of £100,000 to £125,000 (at £20 to £25 retail price), making an assumption that 5,000 units could be sold.

b) How many could be sold in probably no more than a three or four month window (to achieve a full, not discounted, price).

c) Whether these could (now UK is no longer within the European Union) easily be offered to say, Netherlands, Belgium, maybe a couple of others and/or.how effective they might move via this website, if offered.

The Best Years...obviously includes MAKE ME SMILE...and that song and period are known by very many...The album title is even a play on the purpose of the calendar...and there must be many good photos from the period.

Any mainland Europe units could include captions in Dutch...and so on. I'll stop before this sounds too much like Alan Sugar's, 'The Apprentice' (BBC 1)!

Goodnight. Sleep well...

...Edit 4: Good morning...Two of the months could feature the front cover and inner sleeve, a third ought to include Messrs Elliott, Cregan, Ford and Mackay, as they appear on the rear cover and if possible, other months should include shots of Steve (with or without the band) from the album's time i.e. 1975 - even better if those shots have never been released publicly before. These nearly always exist, somewhere, in someone's archive...x
