Gremlins edited my post on Sunday so that it was merely a sentence; don't think my iPhone is compatible with the site. Anyway, I ventured out to Warrington on Saturday without my usual Steve Harley companion; luckily hubby was quite happy to tag along. Easy to park, glass of wine in the square opposite the venue and got to our seats just in time.
It was a special gig; the atmosphere was electric and Steve was in great form. This band is superb and in my opinion never payed a bum note.
The covers were a nice addition to the set but leave less time for Steve's own songs; of which there are so many I like to hear played live. However, I loved his version of absolute beginners; I had wondered how Steve would manage the vocal range but he pulled it off!
Lovely to see the usual suspects and thanks yet again Steve for a top night.
