Thanx Alexa. Hope you and yours are doing really well.
Yeah, my PSA is still under reasonable control and because I studied prostate cancer in quite good detail, three years before I was diagnosed (!) I've got a good 'handle' on where I am, risks, the latest science etc.
I'm walking a bit of a tightrope, but I'm doing so because I want control and continued quality of life, for as long as I can manage it.
We saw and heard Midge Ure, back in May and that maintains the vibe. Also cutting a few Northern Soul moves (to maintain motor function and combat some of the side effects of the hormone therapy). I've put on two bags of spuds in weight, which I'm not happy about (4.5kg). Soon though I may be taking a break from the HT.
I edited my thread 'Timeless Flight - inherent within the psyche' only yesterday (page 3), with some more word play of my own.
I thought your '2 years ago' thread was great and I am glad it's leading in the Welcome Forum. It's a permanent reminder of when we lost Steve...
Look after yourself, and love to you too,
Jem
P.S.
This started as a verse but has turned into a commentary, because it's relevant to part of my response to Alexa (above) and I only became aware of it, the day after my response:
SLEEP (AND WAKING)
Feet to the North
Head to the South
Wood panelling to my left
Greater space to my right - then the light
Gently waking in my latest feng sui
Getting up on the boarded floor
I turned off last night
After reaching page 161

The Authorised biography volume one
Of Ian Hunter - Mott's the story* - by Campbell Devine
He's 87 now you know and doing fine...
(In that* book, within Chapter 5, Steve Harley, Phil Lynott, and Ian himself, were considered 'good copy', by someone who worked with each of them. This was the independent publicist, Tony Brainsby, page 169 refers).
(Now I digress)
The BBC News At One back on the 10th June
revealed an exciting trial for a PCa treatment
SABR - I'll discuss it more fully, when I know enough about it. Apparently it will be offered to patients within weeks (?)
I'll edit either one of my threads, 'Who's That Girl" or "Timeless Flight - inherent within the psyche?" which would seem appropriate, in due course.
VBW,
Jem H (June 2026)
P.S.2 SABR stands for Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy.
Here's to Sir Kier Starmer's Government, for rolling it out! This will certainly make a difference. Signs for economic growth are beginning to show through too. Stay strong and stay put. Try your best to deliver the mandate...
P.S.3 Since I posted here, for the first time, probably since adolescence, I have had a recurring dream. I can't pin-down an interpretation with any certainty, perhaps because the dream work (as Freud put it) and the manifest content, is subject to condensation, displacement and distortion. Besides those factors, inevitably, I probably won't have remembered the whole dream content, upon waking. Whilst there may be unresolved emotional stress behind the reoccurrence, in this instance, I feel that this process (and content, that I can remember), is helpful to my psyche...
