Yesterday we watched and listened to 'The Death of Robin Hood', at the cinema. It was a rainy Tuesday morning, for an early afternoon screening.
This film is like no other on Robin Hood. 'The Death Of Robin Hood' (2026) was produced by Lyrical Media and Ryder Picture Company.
The lead actors are Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer. Bill Skarsgard is also in the film and two of the younger actors, Faith Delaney and Noah Jupe, also stood out, for me.
The script and art direction were excellent. It is a violent film (15). Directed by Michael Samoski.
I know I'm slightly obsessed with 'Cavaliers', particularly at the moment, but there were, for me, crossovers in the narrative of the film above, and Harley's narrative in Cavaliers. Also, with Harley's 'Death Trip' (1973).
Books, films and pop-rock bands do, periodically, cross over. Think about the influence of 'A Clockwork Orange' by Anthony Burgess (1962 or 1963 - I'll check this and correct if necessary). We only have to think of Bowie and the Spiders, jumpsuits, the (twist) with the wrestling boots and of course, Cockney Rebel, The bowler hat and 'the suits' and makeup.
