Although my 70's concerts start to blur a little, I'm SURE there was a great support band called NUTZ. As I recall, BYOOL opened with audio of Ravel's Bolero (long before Torville and Dean laid claim to it!)So Nutz must have been the 'warm-up' on the Timeless Flight tour. Their album 'Hard Nutz' I still have to this day, and it's brilliant! They definitly supported either Steve & Rebel, or Thin Lizzy circa 1976, and I'm sure Lizzy's support was a band called Clover. Lordy! Life would be easier if you could remember everything :)

Thanks, Coventry Dave.
76, 77, it's all a long time ago, isn't it? Though sometimes, it seems like only yestereday! Seem to remember I saw Clover suportng Linda Lewis as well, around the same time......

Thin Lizzy supported Bachman Turner Overdrive in 1975 - Saturday 3rd May, as I saw them at Hammy Odeon in 1975 a few weeks after Cockney Rebel!

Just checked my programme, it was Oct/Nov 76. I saw Lizzy at Cov Theatre, Nov 9th. Can't remember if i saw Clover though. I had a habit of not bothering with support groups back then. I know i missed Van Halen supporting Black Sabbath in 78, though i DID see Montrose support Status Quo in 74.
