It is simple Rachel. You will need to download free kindle playing software from Amazon. You dont have to have a seperate kindle player, but if you don't, you will have to read it on your pc using the downloaded software.

When you then purchase the book from amazon, it will automatically upload itself to your hardrive (taking into account that you keep online to recieve it).

Oh and I have also got kindle on my HTC smartphone,(not blackberry STEVE!!!), and you can build up your kindle library in the phones memory.
The good thing with kindle readers is that when you have had enough reading,and close it,when you open it up again hours/days later it automatically takes you back to where you left off,and you can even be reading several different books at once and it memorises where you dip in and out of eaCh as your mood takes you.

Just downloaded this to my pc - it was easier than I thought it would be (not very good at these things at times!!) So looking forward to reading it. It looks great.
