I know its an age thing but somewhere in the back of my mind it was definitley before 75 I remember seeing Steve in Plymouth in a marquee. How I wish I had kept something from that night.
Doesn't age do things to the mind...........ha ha!!
All I can remember is that he was fantastic.......as always.

rebelfreak1: plymouth
maybe not as early as seventy four, but steve did a series of gigs around the country billed as something like 'the heineken roadshows' where steve and the band played as headline act for around an hour or so,remember going to two or three of those where the stage set was a marquee type of thing.remember the sheffield one was on the site (car park) of the don valley stadium.
anyone else remember those gigs....prob mid to late eighties...fuzzy memory.

Mr Raffles: Plymouth 1974
They played Plymouth Guildhall on 10th January 1974 and at the same venue several times over the following few years. No mention of a marquee near the football ground in my list of gigs.

RachelPAtoSH: A Friend...
Nathalie, there was a thread (perhaps on the Forum) recently where a link was given to the original message from some time ago, with the chords as given by Steve himself.

I hope someone out there can remember the gig in Plymouth in the early 70's. I did put a message out on Thursday but no one has replied...........please, please someone must remember that concert in Plymouth, or am I getting senile in my old age.
I know it was a long time ago, but there must be Harley fans who were in their late teens or early 20's who remember it.
I look forward to you fantastic Cockney Rebel fans putting my mind at rest.
Thanks in advance from someone who wants to remember "The Best Years Of My Life"!!!

Guys..............can someone help me please!!! I have been following Steve and Cockney Rebel since the beginning, early 70's. I remember seeing them in either 1972/73/74/75, but in my old age the brain is starting to dry up!! It was in Plymouth but for the life of me I do not remember what year or where in Plymouth it was, for some reason I have in my mind it was in a marquee near the footbal ground but I really can not remember. Is there anyone out there who can help me with this dilemma??

Michael Carraway: extras
I imagine there will be "extras" (encores) as the two albums are in the region of 45 and 42 minutes long, even with Judy Teen still short of Steve's usual marathons, though fine by me! But the idea of 2000 Diehards (see moonlighter) chanting back to Steve and that great band and the full orchestral stage "We Got The Feeling" and "Come Up And See Me"...well, I get the feeling right now to be honest.

madmoonlighter: Madmoonlighter
Purchased the hottest tickets in town today(Madonna who), Paisley Scotland will be represented at BSH.
Steve-Just a thought-Riding the Waves, can you resist the temptation to hear alternative choir of 2000 diehards singing "We got the feeling", hope not!

RachelPAtoSH: paulno1
Hi there. Please note that, with all due respect, we have taken off your entry on the Forum, containing the sentiments and message posted below. While it is helpful to have that particular rumour quashed totally, we didn't think it appropriate at the moment to start a thread along those lines. All fans should note: no musician other than Stuart Elliott has been approached re Nov 24th. He is looking through his diary, and Steve will speak with him again soon. You'll learn the news, either way, here, the moment we know ourselves.

RachelPAtoSH: SIGNING ALBUMS
TimD, it is certainly worth bringing your original vinyl to the concert, but no promises can be made.
It is possible that a member of the house staff or crew might be free to get the records backstage, for Steve to sign.

paulno1: paulno1
Milton and John would like everyone to know that they will not be appearing at Birmingham and would like to it known they have had no contact with Harley since 1974 and would'nt want people travelling to the show thinking that the original members will be appearing in any shape or form,This is'nt so and both would like to convey their best wishes to everyone concerned with the event.

Cocnerebel: Symphony Hall
Heyyyy Andy ;-)
From Wikipedia :
"Maximum capacity 2262 over four levels. Rock and Pop capacity 1885, taking into account sightlines and mixer desk"
Just looking at the venue website it looks like well over one thousand tickets have gone already and that is without any advertising!!
Here's to a nationwide tour ;-)
A live CD from the 2011 gigs, as promised, would be nice. I am sure that a lot of people would appreciate an update. Maybe Rachel has bigger fish to fry right now and understandably so.

sparrow: Roll on November
Chuffed to get 2 tickets. Am taking my son Matthew who is 29 and wasn't even born when I first saw the band at Fairfield Halls. He is into double figures so just shows you it's never too late to start to appreciate the legend that is Steve and the band.My first gig was prompted by the first time I heard Judy Teen and was blown away by it and its originality. Just wish I had a set list from that day How about a live double album of the BSH gig? Now that would be a welcome addition to the old cd collection. The fact that the site crashed and had problems just shows that if you have the talent people will want to see you and let's be fair Steve does have talent.

Hallo,

Got my tickets and hotel booked great seats thanks to Steve and the team for thinking of their real fans unlike other great names who just let people buy tickets as soon as available with no intention of going, but to sell on ebay and such like. This is the fair way to allow all true SHCR fans a chance to get their tickets and to see their heroes. I am looking forward to a truly great experience and atmosphere love all of Steves's work more particularly his newer stuff but relish the idea to hear his older original material Physchomodo and Human Menagerie with full orchestra and choir roll on November

essexboybilly: guests
Steve has said the current rock band will be on stage, Jim wasn't on those two albums, and N Pynn came much later so can't imagine SH will contact him - he's got BARRY W!!!
Guests might get in the way of a tightly rehearsed band and orchestra.

sparrow: Birmingham SH payment
Have noticed that tickets finally go on sale tomorrow (can't wait) but e-mail says there will be a credit card link.I assume that those of us who never use a cc or own one will still be able to book using a debit card!!! Would be so frustrating to wait all these years to see the first 2 albums in entirety and not be able to pay using a debit card
