I was blown away with the music at Folkestone Quarterhouse (The Slaughterhouse to locals). It was a night of three fantastic live musicians, powerful singing, and great songs. It took me several hours to come down from the euphoria I felt. Wow!!!!
Please come again soon.

I am still on a high after the 'intimate' performance in Folkestone on Saturday. I just want to say I agree with Steve's views on modern technology. Whenever I see my 15 year old grandson, he is glued to his laptop in some king of trance, and his 5 year old brother already uses his older brother's old XBox with such competitive aggression, it frightens me. These pastimes can never replace reading a book of fiction, when you have access to someone's most inner feelings and thoughts, which open your mind and expand your vocabulary. We are becoming too americanised, and our beautiful language is being bastardised and impoverished. I sometimes think our nation is disappearing in the big black hole of globalisation. I have a mobile and a laptop, but I will never let them rule my life, and I shall never impose their use on others.
